We are part of society and its trust is one of our most important assets. We engage with society by teaching young people how to take charge of their finances and by combating sexual exploitation of children.

Helping youths to become financially literate

Nordea offers Financial Education to schools in the Nordic countries. The education targets 13-18 year-olds with the aim to give them a basic economic understanding and to help them handle their daily finances.

Combating sexual exploitation of children

Nordea is a member of the Financial Coalition in Sweden to prevent the sexual exploitation of children. The coalition was formed to make it more difficult for commercial websites, taking direct payments for providing child pornography, to perform such transactions.

Nordea’s sponsoring focuses on helping activate children and teenagers. Nordea aims at broader sponsorships with a wide participation within sports and music.

Committed to the Baltic Sea

The Baltic Sea is one of the most polluted seas in the world. Nordea made a commitment to help save it at the Baltic Sea Action Summit on 10 February 2010 in Helsinki.
