We engage with society
Helping youths to become financially literate
Nordea offers Financial Education to schools in the Nordic countries. The education targets 13-18 year-olds with the aim to give them a basic economic understanding and to help them handle their daily finances.
Combating sexual exploitation of children
Nordea is a member of the Financial Coalition in Sweden to prevent the sexual exploitation of children. The coalition was formed to make it more difficult for commercial websites, taking direct payments for providing child pornography, to perform such transactions.
Sponsoring young athletes and musicians
Nordea’s sponsoring focuses on helping activate children and teenagers. Nordea aims at broader sponsorships with a wide participation within sports and music.
Coaching Latvian entrepreneurs
Due to the country’s high unemployment, many Latvians want to become entrepreneurs. Nordea therefore launched the Nordea Business School.
Committed to the Baltic Sea
The Baltic Sea is one of the most polluted seas in the world. Nordea made a commitment to help save it at the Baltic Sea Action Summit on 10 February 2010 in Helsinki.
Micro savings support the Women’s Bank
Nordea Finland has made it possible to direct the amount saved through the saving option Micro Savings straight to a charity called the Women’s Bank.
