Facts (1 January 2010):
- We are about 36,500 employees.
- In 2009 we welcomed over 1,800 new colleagues (of whom 830 from Poland and the Baltic countries).
- All new employees participate in the Nordea Introduction Programme.
- 3,970 employees changed to a new position within the Group during 2009.
- The gender distribution is 62% female and 38% male. Among managers the distribution is 42% and 58% respectively.

11.3% of all employees hold a university degree. Among managers the figure is 23.3%.
Developing our employees
We offer a full range of professional leadership training programmes covering everything from potential managers to top executives. We also have special focus on the development of trainees.
Facts:
- In 2009 approximately 30 graduates participated in the Nordea Graduate Programme.
- Almost 600 graduates have been recruited since 2000 and more than 85% still have a career in Nordea.
- Nordea Graduate Programme aims at being one of the best on the market.
- Both genders should be represented among the final three candidates when recruiting for managerial and executive positions.
