Recruitment process
When the application deadline expires the applications will be evaluated and a number of candidates selected to be interviewed. If you are invited to an interview, this is what will happen: |
The interview
Normally, you will attend 1-2 interviews. Generally, an interview at Nordea lasts about an hour. You will meet a manager and/or a HR representative.
The purpose of the interview is to see how you will match the team in which you will work and how well you fit into the culture and the requirements of Nordea. Please be prepared to answer questions about your strengths and weaknesses, your short- and long-term goals and how your qualifications match the job requirements.
We will also ask you to give examples of how you have handled similar or equivalent tasks in the past. And please ask us questions. This enables you to evaluate if we are the right employer for you.
Use of assessments and references
For some positions we make use of an assessment, which we regard as a supplement to the interview. This means that the test results will never stand alone and the candidate will always get feedback on the test. All assessment and testing are carried out by skilled and well-trained HR professionals.
In some cases we will also check the references of the candidates, but we never do this without getting an approval from the candidate first.
After the interview
On completion of the interviews we evaluate the candidates and the most suitable candidate receives a job offer.
And if you are not offered a job, you will of course hear from us, too.
