SEPA

We look ahead - you stay ahead

The implementation of the Single Euro Payments Area, SEPA, began 28 January 2008 starting a process of bringing harmonised payment services within the reach of all Europeans. New SEPA services will be introduced within a three-to-five-year transition period, during which Nordea will support our customers’ business needs by bringing forward the SEPA benefits.

The aim of SEPA is to move towards a fully harmonised European payments area by replacing todays’ fragmented solutions and market practices with new harmonised solutions. For our customers, who conduct cross-border business, this means less bureaucracy and lower costs.
