Nordea Fund & Manager Selection
Nordea Fund & Manager Selection is the competence centre in Nordea for externally managed investment products. The unit develops and manages investment products – e.g. fund of funds – based on external investment products and advisors.
In addition, Nordea Fund & Manager Selection is responsible for search and selection of external managed products incl. funds being offered by Nordea to its institutional, private banking and retail clients. The unit supports Nordea Life & Pension in its selection of external managers.
Selection process
Nordea Fund & Manager Selection applies a proprietary selection process focusing on identifying active portfolio managers consistently outperforming a specific market.
Apart from relying on quantitative screening tools, the selection process ensures a "hands-on" knowledge of each chosen manager. Consequently, sufficient manager transparency is an essential ingredient in Nordea Fund & Manager Selections’ co-operation with external counterparts.
Furthermore, an on-going due diligence process also emphasises evaluating all counterparts' risk management skills.
