Being a graduate at Nordea is a great way to launch a rewarding career in the financial services industry.

You will be a graduate in our different business area tracks which will provide you with professional development opportunities.

Being a graduate at Nordea is a great way to launch a rewarding career in the financial services industry. You will be a graduate in our different business area tracks which will provide you with professional development opportunities.

Together with the other graduates you will form an important network and enhance your personal development at four international seminars. Being part of a track, attending the seminars, visiting other parts of the value chain and participating in a mentoring programme add up to Nordea Graduate Programme.

It's learning-by-doing supplemented by international seminars

As a graduate at Nordea you apply for a specific position or area where you can utilise your academic skills from university or business school. Your hosting manager will provide you with challenging assignments based on a combination of business needs and development opportunities. At the international seminars we provide you with personal development opportunities and give you in-depth knowledge of our company and the financial services industry as a whole.

The seminars focus on the following themes:

  • Business understanding of the financial services industry in general and Nordea business in particular
  • Being a Nordea citizen and a good ambassador
  • Facilitation of meetings and workshops
  • Presentation skills
  • Change management
  • Team dynamics and how you act in a team context
  • Personal growth, values and driving forces giving you a platform for choosing the right career track
  • Ability to create a network and leverage on network skills

You will also be given the assignment to find a mentor and engage in a mentor/mentee relationship.

The programme lasts from one to two years depending on the track. You will be able to read more about the specific tracks when we open for recruitment. At that point we will also launch the specific positions.

After the programme?

After ending the Graduate Programme a great majority of our graduates stay in Nordea to build their future career. They have their work in various challenging and demanding positions in different areas all over the bank.

What do we expect?

We invest a lot in our graduates – and we expect a lot in return. First of all you need to be a recent graduate with a master's degree and have a maximum of one year's of working experience. In some of our business area tracks we value that you have strong record of academic achievement while in other tracks we emphasise your ability to create relationships. The specific recruitment criteria will be announced when we publish the actual jobs. But for all graduates at Nordea we expect you to be self dependent and self driven. We want you to have the energy to drive and to constantly develop to become even better.
