FINSTA (Financial statement of an account message) or
SWIFT MT940 message on file
The financial statement of an account message (FINSTA) is used by the customer (payer/payee/creditor) for automatic reconciliation of disbursements (optional) and balances. Through the message the payer/creditor gets information in a structured format about the executed payment orders (optional). Both the payer/creditor and the payee get balance information to be used for reconciliation of accounts in the general ledger.
