Nordic teenagers’ finances affected by the recession
17.11.2009In Denmark, Finland and Norway a recent survey shows that girls seem to maintain income and part-time jobs whereas boys lose both income and jobs.
Nordic teenagers find it more important to save money now, and fewer teenagers save up money for luxury goods compared to two years ago when the survey was made for the first time.
The survey was carried out in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway. In the four countries 3,057 interviews were conducted in the age group 13-17. In this age group the total population is approximately 1,600,000. The survey was also conducted in 2007 and comparisons will be made with that survey. Synovate carried out the survey on behalf of Nordea.
