Graduate Programme

You invest your talent – we grow together

Being a Graduate in Nordea is a great way to launch a rewarding career.

The programme gives you a "fast track" to Nordea’s culture and organisation.

As a Graduate, you will get a permanent position in our energetic organisation and a possibility to develop and grow in it. The Nordea Graduate Programme is a first-class concept that gives extra value for both – you and Nordea.

First-class programme with many elements

The Graduate Programme consists of two major parts. First and foremost, there are four international seminars, where Graduates from different countries and different parts of Nordea meet, network and improve their personal skills while learning about the fundamentals and the business in Nordea. The other part of the programme is the business track, which is a tailor-made possibility to learn more about the responsibilities and elements related to your current position.

In addition, the Graduate Programme contains value chain visits to different parts of the organisation and a mentoring programme to complete the package. The Graduate Programme lasts 1 - 2 years, depending on the length of the business track activities.

The programme focuses on three themes: being a Nordea citizen, personal growth and networking.

In practice

International seminars take place in Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo and Stockholm, lasting from 4 to 5 days. The seminars include presentations, workshops, business cases and training sessions, as well as many informal networking activities. Each seminar focuses on both business knowledge and personal development.

Examples of the seminar contents:

  • Knowing yourself, personal values & driving forces

  • Nordea’s business strategy & business environment

  • Facilitation of meetings and workshops

  • Nordea values, ethics & compliance

  • Professional communication

  • Branding of Nordea

  • Cultural awareness

  • Financial knowledge

  • Business cases (Private, Corporate, Future banking, Capital Markets & Savings)

  • Adapting and responding to change
