Nordea Investor Speed Dating events are curated matchmaking events, where the attending startups/scaleups (typically 30–40) are carefully chosen in advance. Applications close three weeks before the event.
Our Startup & Growth teams review the applications and select the companies that match the investment scope of the attending investors.
As part of this process, we look at applicants’ traction and planned growth (all companies need to have revenue – at least a paid pilot), target market size, round size and team. For seed-stage events, attending companies typically have an average yearly turnover of around EUR 500k, and for Scaleup day events the typical turnover is around EUR 1.8m.
All events include companies from different sectors and Nordic countries.
Once you’ve been selected for an event and have meetings with investors confirmed, you’ll need to plan exactly how you want to spend each 20-minute meeting – we don’t set any agenda. We share your pitch deck with the investors beforehand, so they come prepared. We recommend that you reserve most of the time for discussion and questions.
We run Investor Speed Dating events several times a year. Typically, we have several seed-stage events and one scaleup day (A-round and beyond) twice a year. You can find the dates for upcoming events on our website. Applications can be submitted up to three weeks before the event.
We have a very wide investor network and each of our events is attended by over 50 investors from around the world. Most are venture capital funds (global, European and Nordic) looking to invest in Nordic businesses. Growth funds, family offices and angel investors are also on board.
Nordea Investor Speed Dating events are free of charge. We organise them to help customers and other Nordic startups/scaleups find the right investor and grow faster.
