Nordea has hired Ricardo Martin Manjon to become the new Head of Digital Banking. Ricardo presently holds the position as Head of Digital Transformation at the Spanish arm of BBVA, one of Europe’s largest banks with operations globally.
- Nordea will be creating modern financial digital services within mobile and online banking to both household and corporate customers which follow best-in-class global trends. We recently announced that we are significantly increasing our investments in the online and mobile area, doubling our investments from an already high level. To assist in realising the ambition together with the skilled Digital Banking team, Ricardo will take up the position as Head of Digital Banking, says Mads Jakobsen, Deputy Head of Retail Banking.
Ricardo Martin Manjon will start in his new position by 1 June at the latest.
- Ricardo holds extensive leadership experience from different positions and currently leads a team of +600 people. He has a PhD in Economics from the University of Madrid and an executive MBA from the Columbia and London business schools. In his present role he is responsible for customer experience and distribution, including all digital and physical channels of BBVA in Spain. In addition, he holds experience from digital marketing, analytics, remote advisory and online banking, says Mads Jakobsen.
