2017 was the year of Open Banking. In February, Nordea launched its Open Banking Developer Portal, inviting third parties to sign up for early access to the sandbox environment. Here is a summary of the latest developments and top stories.
- Nordea’s Open Banking Developer Portal moves into production, enabling selected pilots to work with real customer data. Nordea is the first Nordic bank to offer this level of access to its pilots.
- Sanela Dulic, Strategic Business Developer within Open Banking, discusses the challenges faced in reaching this stage of the Portal and looks ahead to what comes next.
- In December, the Portal won Banking Technology’s global award for Top Digital Innovation, setting Nordea apart from a highly competitive field.
