Nordea was once again the standout Nordic bank at this year’s ‘World’s Best Treasury & Cash Management Banks and Providers’ awards organised by Global Finance magazine, confirming the bank’s position as the leading Transaction Banking partner in the region.
Following a rigorous selection process to find the winners of the twentieth annual installment of the awards, Nordea was chosen as the ‘Best Bank for Liquidity Management in Western Europe for 2020’, the ‘Best Bank for Cash Management in the Nordics for 2020’ and the ‘Best Bank for Payments and Collections in the Nordics for 2020’.
As well as the prestigious regional wins, Nordea was also awarded ‘the Best Treasury and Cash Management Provider in Finland for 2020’, the ‘Best Treasury and Cash Management Provider in Sweden for 2020’ and the ‘Best Treasury and Cash Management Provider in Norway for 2020’.
Anna Eklund, Head of Cash Management at Nordea, says: “I’m really happy to see these results as they reflect a job well done and are excellent recognition from Global Finance of the great efforts we have all been making over the last few years. We have been working hard to improve our daily services and operational processes as well as developing our offering of products and solutions. All in all, our activities across the Nordics have been focused on taking a partnership approach to give our customers the best possible service and help them benefit from the dynamic changes that are taking place right along the transaction banking value chain. This is an excellent way to start the year and we are looking forward to an action packed 2020 ahead!”
Adding customer value
According to Global Finance Magazine, “a multi-tiered assessment process was used to select award winners, including input from industry analysts, corporate executives, technology experts and independent research, to select the best providers of treasury and cash management services. A variety of subjective and objective criteria were considered, including: profitability, market share and reach, customer service, competitive pricing, product innovation and the extent to which treasury and cash management providers have successfully differentiated themselves from their competitors around core service provision.”
Joseph D. Giarraputo, Publisher and Editorial Director of Global Finance, says: “Now more than ever, corporate leaders need real-time data to respond smartly to an environment being constantly reshaped by new technologies and new regulations. Our Treasury and Cash Management Awards showcase the banks that best support corporate clients with up-to-date insights and adaptive new strategies.”
More recognition to come
