Nordea will soon be ready with Touch ID login for our mobile banking apps. The feature will be available to Nordea customers with iPhones with Touch ID within the next months.
- Touch ID login is a step on Nordea’s digitisation journey. We want to deliver great digital experiences to our customers, and for that reason we are investing heavily in the digital field, says Lennart Jacobsen, Head of Retail Banking at Nordea.
First bank in the Nordics
In 2014 Nordea was the first bank in the Nordics to introduce Touch ID on a banking app. That app was Nordea Next, which is the bank’s digital lab where customers are involved in creating new products.
- No one knows the need of the customers better than the customers themselves. That is the philosophy behind Nordea Next. With Nordea Next we explore innovative ideas together with our customers. That gives us unique and invaluable insight into their wishes for our digital solutions. One of the features to receive a lot of positive feedback by our Next users is the Touch ID fingerprint authentication, Lennart says.
To begin with, Touch ID login will be available for iPhones with Touch ID.
