Nordea Private Banking received several prestigious private banking awards at PWM/The Banker Global Private Banking Awards ceremony yesterday evening in London.Nordea was awarded as the Best Private Bank in both Denmark and Norway.

“We are proud to receive such prestigious country awards in Denmark and Norway for our private banking services. It reflects our strengths within wealth management and our approach to serving private banking clients,” says Thorben Sander, global head of private banking at Nordea.

The PWM/Banker Global Private Banking Awards, now in its eighth year, is firmly established as the world's most prestigious private banking event with over 170 submissions from over 63 countries. The global financial magazine The Banker - which is part of the Financial Times Group - manages the PWM/The Banker Global Private Banking Awards.

Nordea wins the country award for the first time in Denmark, and in Norway we have now won the country award for the third year in a row since it was introduced in 2014.

The private banking country heads in Denmark and Norway, Hans Henrik Klestrup and Torsten Østensen, were both at the ceremony in London to receive the country awards together with a small delegation.

Nordea Private Banking is the largest private banking provider on a Nordic scale with more than EUR 90bn in assets under management. Around 900 private banking advisers serve around 120,000 private banking clients from around 80 branches located in the Nordic region, Luxembourg, Singapore and Switzerland.
