Green light for all merger plans at Nordea

16-12-21 8:48 | About Nordea

The authorities in Denmark and Norway have now approved the merger plans to execute the Danish and Norwegian mergers.

With the earlier approval from the authorities in Finland, we are pleased that we can now execute the cross-border mergers between Nordea Bank AB and its subsidiary banks Nordea Bank Danmark, Nordea Bank Finland and Nordea Bank Norge, respectively. The subsidiaries will become branches of the parent company. The mergers will be completed on 2 January 2017.

A simpler structure decreases the complexity and enables us to focus on delivering the best possible experiences to our customers. Our ambition with the transformation is to make it even easier for our customers to deal with us and at the same time leverage our expertise as One Nordea.
