From today, 1 October, SG Finans becomes Nordea Finance Equipment and joins with Nordea Finance. This makes Nordea Finance the largest finance company in the Nordics and an even stronger partner for our Nordic customers.
SG Finans specialises in financing different equipment; from computers to heavy machinery. They hold a strong position in both direct and indirect sales channels and bring approx. 50, 000 new customers into Nordea Finance.
"Customers coming from SG Finans now have access to the full range of Nordea products and Nordic presence and our existing customers will benefit from a greater pool of industry knowledge not to mention a stronger local presence in Norway, Sweden and Denmark," says Head of Nordea Finance, Peter Hupfeld.
The acquisition of SG Finans was agreed with French Bank Societe Generale on 19 December, 2019, and increases Nordea Finance’s geographical footprint significantly, making it the largest finance company in the Nordics.
"We’ve successfully combined two companies that fit each other perfectly through complementary distribution channels, local sales presence, solid industry knowledge and the experience of running profitable stand-alone finance companies for many years. I’m excited to lead our newly combined company into the future as one Nordea Finance," says Peter Hupfeld.
