We are happy to announce that Nordea came best out among financials in Walking the Talk study on Sustainability Communication by the Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets at the Stockholm School of Economics.
The report analyses what companies communicate: what they say that they will do, and what they say they have done, within Sustainability/Corporate Responsibility (S/CR), in other words their “talk” and “walk”..
Its primary purpose is to explore sustainability communication by companies listed on the Nasdaq OMX Stockholm Large Cap index, of which there are 95 as of summer 2019. The variables and indicator schemes are broadly based in extant research and have support in practitioner best practice, as it relates to corporate sustainability communication.
“We are happy that Nordea’s efforts to become an even more sustainable and responsible bank are being reflected in the study. Going forward, we will continue to integrate sustainability into all our operations and strive to be a driving force for change in the industry and society,” says Anders Langworth and Ylva Hannestad, co-Heads of Nordea Group Sustainable Finance.
