This December, Paris will host the 21st International Conference on Climate Change, COP’21. So, what does that have to do with investments, you might ask? Everything, we say – and in this article, we will tell you why.

When COP’21 begins in a few weeks, Sasja Beslik, Head of Responsible Investments in Nordea Funds, will be attending to put responsible investments on the agenda.

This is important to Nordea Funds for a number of reasons but especially because we believe that we – as investors – can impact climate change through our work with responsible investments.

- We are convinced that responsible investments matter when it comes to changing companies’ agendas in relation to climate policies, says Sasja Beslik and stresses that this is the message he will bring straight to the global top leaders when he attends the climate conference.

The discussions have already begun
Even though we are a few months away, the efforts have already begun and in the time leading up to the conference – and afterwards as well – Sasja Beslik will be actively engaged in the debate on Twitter.

In the discussions he encourages policymakers, investors and opinion leaders to consider a variety of scenarios relevant for both climate policy and investments – each scenario starting with an enticing “#whatif…”.

You can also take part in the discussions on Twitter or simply share Sasja’s tweets to help spread the word. Follow @Sasjabeslik here and read more about #Whatif and COP’21 on ri.nordea.com.
