The awards run by the corporate communications and public relations magazine, ‘Corporate Director’, honour outstanding achievements in the field of PR and communications. Nordea’s CSR Report 2014 has been shortlisted in the category for best CSR report in Europe alongside Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, Deutsche Telekom, Enel, MAN and Vodafone Nederland.
The EEA have outlined what they’ll be looking for in a winner. The key elements they believe are ‘having a credible, comprehensive and innovative communications approach which places a clear emphasis on stakeholder and target group communication and identifies appropriate evaluation measures’.
Kristiina Oja, Executive Advisor for CSR is responsible for the coordination and development of Nordea’s CSR reports.“Our project for the 2014 report included the CSR Report, revising our website and creating a brochure with the goal of being transparent and describing our CSR clearly. Special focus was on describing our impact on society for the first time”, she says.
According to Marc-Oliver Voigt, the chairman of the jury for the European Excellence Awards, over 1,600 PR and communications projects and campaigns were submitted from across the continent and due to the significant competition, just be part of the shortlist is in itself a significant accomplishment that Nordea should be proud of.
