Nordea picked up Global Finance magazine’s award for Best Overall Bank for Cash Management in Western Europe and for Best Overall Bank for Cash Management in the Nordics at a ceremony hosted during Sibos in Toronto.
Nordea’s Head of Strategy and Communications in Transaction Banking, Patrik Havander, received the award for Best Bank for Cash Management in Western Europe from one of the industry’s standard-bearers, Global Finance. The award shows the industry support for the progressive steps currently being taken in the Cash Management and Transaction Banking areas.

The Global Finance awards strengthen our confidence that we are on the right path and show that the industry also believes in our journey and approach," commented Erik Zingmark, co-Head of Transaction Banking and Head of Cash Management at Nordea.
Overall, Global Finance magazine recognised Nordea with five awards. Nordea took the top prize in the following categories:
- Best Overall Bank for Cash Management in Western Europe
- Best Overall Bank for Cash Management in the Nordic Region
- Best Provider of Short-Term Investments/Money Market Funds in the Nordic Region
- Best Treasury and Cash Management Provider in Norway
- Best Sub Custodian in the Nordic Region
