Finland – ‘Accelerating circularity as part of the Finnish net zero by 2035 strategy’

Despite the curbing effects of the pandemic, global virgin material use reached an all-time high of 101.4 billion tonnes in 2021 (Circularity Gap Report 2022). To live within our planetary boundaries, we will require a drastic re-conceptualisation of how we produce and consume in a net zero world and how companies can transition to circular economic models. The Finnish stage will explore how we can structurally accelerate circularity and drive sustainability-oriented collaboration between business, policy, and finance.
