It might sound like a cliché, but it’s really the passion for new opportunities and customers.

After my first job as a trainee, I became a financial advisor for household customers. After five years, I wanted to learn something new and started to work as an Investment Chief in Training and Support. My journey continued in Social Media business development, and now I have a role as Scrum Master.

What passion led you to the role you are in today? 

It might sound like a cliché, but it’s really the passion for new opportunities and customers. Today – in my role as Scrum Master – I help teams to achieve more, quicker and better results for our customers. 

How would you describe learning in Nordea?

I’ve always been open about what drives and motivates me – and that has brought me closer to my passions. I’ve also had managers who’ve seen potential, supported and coached me. If you can dream it, you can do it. Nordea is filled with opportunities and it is up to you to make use of them.

What do people not know about you?

I love to help and engage in social responsibility programmes. I support and coach a cycling team that raises money for children with diseases.

My journey started as assistant, continued to HR and then to our Call Centre. When I was offered a Team Manager position, I understood that leadership was the area I wanted to develop in. A few years later I was heading the Internet Branch and Contact Centre in Poland and have been in different leadership positions ever since. Today, I’m responsible for sourcing activities related to bringing external consultants to support different Nordea projects and processes.

What makes you thrive in your role? 

The best – and most challenging at the same time – is the focus on building strong collaboration with our stakeholders across Nordea. I also experience that there’s a learning culture. Since I joined Nordea, I've been challenged, trusted and encouraged to keep my mind open.

Who are you as a leader? 

I feel at my best when I see that my team is developing and enjoying what they do – and when that results in satisfied stakeholders. Does everything always work well? No, there are some bumps on the road. I encourage my people to be themselves and not afraid of speaking up. I want to walk the talk and do my best to communicate well and give a purpose. 

Can you share something more about you?

My family and friends are very important to me. And I'm very passionate about travelling, especially Asia and South America. I love to experience different cultures - and the cuisine is absolutely amazing!
