Go to the LinkedIn postIn our recent study the Nordic Pulse, the result shows that age and income level are relevant to how important we rate sustainability. And that the older we get, the more we are worried about the climate crisis.
In the survey different age groups were asked about their main concerns – concerns that might affect their general belief in the future. The results show that the older we get, the more concerned we are about the climate crisis. Age played a big role in how often we ticked that box. In the age group 18-24, 23.4% marked this as a main concern, from a multi-choice list, and it increased for every age group. Lastly, the group that marked it as their main concern most of the time (37.8%) was aged 65-74., The main concerns for younger respondents were instead food, fuel or electricity prices – and their employment situation.
When asked a general question as to whether the respondents thought sustainability was important, the results also show a correlation between how old we are, and how important we think sustainability is. Ruling out different variables, it also shows that the income level played a big role in this rating. The higher our income, the more we rate this as being important.
Each respondent could interpret the word sustainability as they seemed fit.
