Sustainable workplace
At Nordea, we're advancing our sustainability agenda through both major initiatives and everyday practices across all our facilities.
Our Metro Copenhagen building holds the prestigious LEED Platinum certification –the highest possible rating in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design –establishing it as a genuine sustainability role model.
The building features a rooftop solar array, while a 325 m³ rainwater collection system supplies water for plant irrigation and toilet flushing. The energy consumption is 41 kWh/m2 per year.
We have also carefully selected the most sustainable solutions for hot drinks. Our coffee and tea is produced by responsible B Corp companies, which means that they live up to high standards in terms of economic, social and environmental sustainability.
We asked our employees: what’s the best thing about the Copenhagen office?
I love the open floor environment, where it´s possible to see across the building and spot people from other parts of the bank. It reminds me that I'm part of something bigger than just my own organisation. And it also makes it easier for you to connect with new people and old relations.
A nice café, good areas for collaboration and modern layout.
I really like the cantina and the great food that we have, also we have a lot of different opportunities.
