Corporate Governance

Corporate governance deals with the relationship between the shareholders, the Board of Directors and CEO as well as the company’s goals. These pages are based on a shareholder perspective as they are prepared in accordance with the requirements in the external framework, including the Finnish Act on Credit Institutions, Finnish Accounting Act, Finnish Securities Market Act, Ministry of Finance Decree on the obligation of securities issuers to disclose periodic information and the Finnish Corporate Governance Code 2015.

The main emphasis is on the Board of Directors in its role as the main decision-making body in Nordea’s corporate governance structure, and the interaction with other bodies to ensure sound corporate governance.
