Connecting with future talent at Estonia’s largest career fairs
Nordea in Estonia once again connected with future talent at two of the country’s largest career events – the TalTech University Career Fair in Tallinn and the Delta Career Fair in Tartu. Bringing together thousands of students and employers each year, the fairs offer a valuable opportunity to meet young professionals at the start of their careers, introduce them to Nordea, and learn about their interests and expectations.
Surrounded by large Nordea‑blue banners, logos and flags, the Nordea stands were impossible to miss. Throughout the day, they attracted a steady stream of curious students eager to stop by and learn more about us.
Colleagues from across Nordea in Estonia – representing Operations, Compliance, Financial Crime Prevention and Talent Acquisition – were on hand to share insights into who we are, what we do in Estonia, and the career opportunities Nordea offers.
“Over the past few years, Nordea in Estonia has grown into a large workplace, with more than 1,000 colleagues supporting our Nordic customers. To continue attracting new talent, it’s essential for us to be visible where students are and to raise awareness of Nordea as an employer in Estonia,” says Eha Täht, Talent Acquisition Partner in Estonia, who joined the career fair at TalTech University.
Strong interest in building an international career
The students were curious and engaged, asking many questions throughout the day about different career paths and how to get a foot in the door at Nordea.
“They were eager to learn what it’s like to work at Nordea – asking about everything from required experience and available roles to our culture and day‑to‑day life,” says Külli Meier, People Consultant, who joined the career fair in Tartu.
Many students showed particular interest in data, IT and business-related roles as well as areas such as financial crime prevention. Nordea’s international and diverse environment also stood out.
“When we told students that Nordea is the second largest bank in Estonia by number of employees and that we have colleagues from more than 50 nationalities, many were genuinely surprised. The opportunity to build an international career without leaving Estonia really caught their attention.”
QR code to explore career opportunities
Before leaving the stand, students received Nordea-branded materials, including notebooks, pens, reflectors, key rings and small treats. They were also given a Nordea card with a dedicated QR code, making it easy to access Nordea’s Estonia location page directly from their phones.
“By scanning the QR code, students could easily learn more about Nordea in Estonia and explore current vacancies, making it simple to stay connected after the event. It’s important for us to guide students towards our open roles – and to make sure Nordea is top of mind as they finalise their studies and consider their next career steps,” says Eha Täht.
If you didn’t get a chance to meet us at the fairs, you can still learn more about Nordea in Estonia online and follow our open positions.
“Taking part in career fairs is an important way for us to build awareness of Nordea as an employer in Estonia and to strengthen our long-term talent pipeline. Through open conversations, strong engagement and a visible presence, we connect with the next generation of professionals and show what a career at Nordea can look like. We look forward to welcoming talented young professionals in the future.”
