Passionate people
The Nordic Shipping team is a group of highly skilled and passionate people, who have been instrumental in our progress. Their knowledge and willingness to engage in meaningful discussions with us have been exceptional. Nordea is a major player within shipping which makes it even more exciting and enlightening for us to participate in various deals and informative market meetings.
Midway, we both agree that this internship certainly has been an excellent opportunity for us to listen, learn, and engage in constructive dialogues.
Moving on to our fellow interns, they’re spread out in various departments; Tom Olav and Mina are busy in Debt Capital Markets (DCM), while Sondre and Kristoffer are at Equity Research. They will fill you in on their work and experiences in an upcoming blog.
Informal, inspiring and fun networking
Socially, it’s been great too. We have met with several people from across Nordea, and all of them are very enthusiastic when they talk about their work which is very inspiring.
On Thursday, we attended the weekly afternoon Summer Academy, which is a tailored program for us where a unit comes and tells us about their business area, what they do, how they’re organised etc., over some pizza and cold drinks. This week, we were introduced to the Research & Risk Solutions NO team, and they gave us a fantastic presentation.
Afterwards, we all went out for drinks at a local restaurant, and we were able to network and ask (more) questions as we got introduced to even more Nordea people from across the whole value chain.
