During his 15 years with Nordea, Christian Fink Karas has demonstrated strong leadership capabilities across a number of businesses and functions, including Nordea Markets, Large Corporates & Institutions, as acting Head of Business Banking in Denmark, and since 2023 as Head of Nordea Finance.
"Christian brings Nordic experience and a strong track record of leading business development and change, delivering results also in highly regulated business environments. Having worked in several product areas across a broad range of customer segments equips him with valuable insight into our customers' needs. This experience will be a significant asset," says Martin Persson, Head of Asset & Wealth Management.

Christian Fink Karas will take over the position from Per Långsved, who has been appointed Head of Personal Banking and a member of the Group Leadership Team.
“Per has played a key role in laying the foundation for our growth ambition in Nordea Life & Pension and in establishing a strong momentum. I would like to thank him for his leadership and valuable contribution to one of the most strategically important areas in our 2030 strategy. Christian will build on this foundation to execute on our strategic priorities with Life & Pension as one of our core growth pockets," says Martin Persson.

When Per Långsved leaves his role at Nordea Life & Pension on 1 September, Pekka Luukkanen, current Head of Nordea Life & Pension Finland, has been appointed interim CEO until 1 January when Christian Fink Karas takes over.
