“The idea behind the programme is to offer a platform for education, mentoring and networking among female students to increase awareness of career opportunities and the working environment, and thereby attract more female candidates to the banking and finance industry. And we have already identified future talents through the programme,” says Lisa Andersson, Management Partner in Investment Banking & Equities and programme coordinator.
Diversity and inclusion is highly prioritised in the bank, and closely aligned with Nordea’s business strategy. As such, the initiative to set up and run a tailored programme like this has been greatly supported by our management, Lisa tells.
Gain insight, develop your skills, meet professionals
The programme will serve as an introduction to Investment Banking & Equities, and the aim is to offer you valuable knowledge about our business and give you a taste of the life as a banker at Nordea. During the spring sessions, you will develop your skills in finance, and get to meet professionals from our Investment Banking and Equities divisions. You will also learn how these divisions interlink, and how we integrate ESG in our work.
The set-up will vary between the four hosting countries, but in general you will participate in presentations, Q&A sessions, case cracking and valuation workshops with our experienced teams. As a sum-up of the spring programme, we will host an informal closing dinner in the last session.
If you are curious about what it is like to work within the finance sector, don’t miss out on this great opportunity to explore the career opportunities within banking. Please find more information, application details and country specific invitations here.
Meanwhile, keep an eye out for our next blog featuring two former participants, who both work at Nordea today. They will share some tips on how to land a position at Nordea. It could be you! Get started - apply to join our programme.
We look forward to meeting you.
