The new Deputy will team up with Head of Retail Banking Lennart Jacobsen in a joint leadership of the business area that has 18,000 employees and over 10 million customers. As part of the deputy role Mads G. Jakobsen will be responsible for the Retail Banking corporate business.
Mads G. Jakobsen comes from a position as Head of FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities) in Markets within Wholesale Banking. He has been with Nordea for 25 years.
- Mads has been a major contributor to the development of the strongest Markets operation in the Nordics in a close teamwork with Wholesale and Retail corporate units. His experience, competencies and leadership will complement and strengthen Retail Banking in the work ahead of us, says Lennart Jacobsen, Head of Retail Banking.
As part of the deputy role, Mads G. Jakobsen will be responsible for the Retail Banking corporate business with 500,000 customers and EUR 83bn in lending.
