During our week with the FX team – we developed our knowledge about FX sales, trading and automation. The week was fun, insightful and challenging as we were asked to complete a case about AI (artificial intelligence) challenges and opportunities within the unit. To crack the case, it was necessary for us to grasp the whole value chain of the FX business, and thereafter identify areas that can be implemented into the world of AI.
In-between working on the task, we also relished pleasant coffee and ice cream breaks and good talks with the team. We really enjoyed our time in the FX team. Thank you for a great week, FX.
We spent the fourth week of our internship in Equity research. As previous weeks, the week started with a review of the assigned case, and this time we were asked to perform a company valuation of the beauty firm. The case was very fun but also a bit challenging due to the complexity of different valuation methods combined with the time-limit of a couple of days.
However, after completing the case, we can really say that the project improved our knowledge on company valuation and market analysis quite a lot. Apart from working on the case with the research team, we also got the opportunity to visit Equity sales, and get a taste of their work which was very interesting and fun too. Our week ended with an after-work with some other interns in Equity research.
During our time at Equity research, we also spent one day with the Structured Products team, where we got a mini-case which we then presented at the end of the day and received constructive feedback.
We then spent a week with the Fixed Income team. We kicked off with an introduction to the bond market and the most common products. Later on, we were asked to perform a case related to asset management. The purpose of the case was to manage and allocate a portfolio of 1 billion SEK in different fixed income instruments – a fun but challenging task. Still, we cracked on and as usual, the case was presented on Friday, and it went fine – at least we think so😉.
After the presentation, we were invited to a café for an after-work with our new friends from the Fixed Income desk. In summary, we enjoyed yet another really fun and exciting week this time with the Fixed Income team, and we truly appreciated learning about their work both within trading and sales.
Finally, we would once again like to thank everyone in Equities, Structured Products and Fixed Income for the inspiring conversations, and for taking their time to sit with us and answering our many questions.
Stay tuned, and tag along when we get to explore the Security Advisory and Risk Solutions team.

Graduate Programme
The graduate programme has been one of my best decisions career-wise. As a Personal Banking graduate I had the opportunity to develop my leadership skills right after starting the graduate programme. In addition, my second job rotation gave me a behind-the-scenes look at how customer services are developed in Personal Banking. The key learnings for me during these rotations were overcoming stage fright when presenting, learning how to manage projects effectively and developing Power BI dashboards to analyse data and gain insights.
