Delivering best-in-class digital savings experiences is a core part of Nordea’s 2030 strategy. Ongoing improvements continue to drive customer engagement and this progress has now been recognised for the second year in a row by the Financial Times’ PWM Wealth Tech Awards.

Johan Borg, Head of Savings & Wealth in Group Digital at Nordea.

“We are proud to receive this award, and I see it as proof that we are heading in the right direction. In 2025, we continued to strengthen all aspects of the digital experience, including digital portfolio management and trading, and a deepened connection between advisor interactions and digital,” says Johan Borg, Head of Savings & Wealth in Group Digital at Nordea.

Over the past year, Nordea has also enhanced its savings platform to support more customers digitally. According to Borg, a key focus has been ensuring that customers feel informed.

“By keeping customers informed, proactive and in control, we can better support them – particularly through uncertain market conditions,” he says.

Personal, proactive, and powered by AI

To further simplify portfolio management, Nordea has enhanced the digital trading journey with new price alerts, integrated company research, and curated financial news. These tools are designed to help customers make informed investment decisions directly within the app.

Building on this foundation, Nordea has also released an AI-powered investment news summary. This solution transforms large volumes of financial news into personalised, concise insights tailored to each customer’s holdings and interests.

“It helps customers cut through complexity, stay informed, and feel empowered in their investment decisions,” says Johan Borg.

Looking ahead, Nordea’s digital savings strategy remains focused on continuous improvement, personalisation, and trust.

“We believe that AI and hyper-personalisation will redefine wealth management in the future – enabling us to anticipate customer needs, offer guidance across life stages, and create experiences that are relevant to every individual,” says Johan Borg.
