Contact usWe are the leading financial services group in the Nordic region, with roots stretching back to a local savings bank in Copenhagen in the 1820s. Since then, we have grown to serve millions of customers across Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
A financial services group is essentially a large company that supports and advises people and businesses with all kinds of financial needs.
We can help you:
And more, depending on your needs.
We are organised around four business areas: Personal Banking, Business Banking, Large Corporates & Institutions and Asset & Wealth Management. Beyond banking, we play an active role in the Nordic region through tax contributions, the provision of financial education in schools and community engagement programmes – because for us, it has always been about more than just banking. Nordea offers a range of products and services designed to help both individuals and businesses make more sustainable financial decisions. These include green corporate loans and bonds, energy-efficient mortgages and electric vehicle financing. We also offer sustainability-enhanced pensions and investment funds. Our Framework for Responsible Investment Distribution defines the requirements that products must meet to be eligible for distribution as responsible investments through advice in Nordea.
We also use active ownership – including engagement and voting – to encourage more sustainable business practices at the companies we invest in.
Sustainability is integrated into our advisory services, helping customers make informed decisions that align with their financial goals and sustainability preferences.
We are reducing the environmental impact of our own operations through measures such as lowering business travel emissions, replacing paper with digital solutions, increasing the use of electric vehicles and engaging suppliers on net-zero ambitions.
Beyond climate action, we promote employee well-being, diversity and inclusion, community engagement and volunteering. These efforts reflect our broader commitment to social responsibility and financial well-being. Moreover, through our work on financial well-being we promote inclusion, financial literacy and confidence.
Read more about our targets here.
The financial sector plays a critical role in supporting the development of a more resilient and sustainable society. That is why our long-term objective is to achieve net-zero emissions* by 2050. As part of this commitment, we have already reduced carbon emissions from our own operations by more than 50% since 2019*.
At the same time, we know that our greatest impact comes from our lending and investment activities. Through product and services that enable sustainable choices for our corporate, personal and private banking customers, we actively engage to drive transition.
We offer financing solutions – and – advice corporates and institutions on how to reduce risk, unlock growth opportunities and build resilience. We offer financing solutions for personal customers when renovating their homes to be more energy-efficient and, we offer products for investing in sustainability-enhanced pensions and investment funds.
Sustainability is thus embedded in Nordea’s strategy and business operations, and we are progressing well towards both our long-term objective and short-term targets.
