Business Banking Sweden ranked #1 in Prospera survey

Kantar Sifo Prospera has announced the results for its newly launched industry survey of Small Corporate Banking. Business Banking Sweden ranks best in class in many of the rated categories and consequently secures first place.

The result is based on feedback from 210 companies and builds on interviews with mainly CFOs, heads of treasury and CEOs of medium-sized companies with a turnover between 500 million and 1 billion Swedish kronor.

Nina Arkilahti, Head of Business Banking at Nordea.

“Getting this feedback from our customers makes me really proud.  SMEs are the key drivers of the Nordic economy, providing jobs and growth opportunities. We want to support our customers ambitions to succeed and grow in a sustainable way with our financial expertise and the full range of services that Nordea can offer. This encourages us to continue to build close relationships with our customers and grow together,” says Nina Arkilahti, Head of Business Banking at Nordea.

Nordea takes first place with a score of 3.95, SEB is in second place with a score of 3.88 and Danske Bank takes third place with a score of 3.85.

Best in no less than six categories

Customers rate the banks in ten different categories, where Business Banking takes first place in six categories: Personal contacts, Financial competence, Coordination offering & specialists, Strategic advice, Proactive and Senior management attention.

Peter Dalmalm, Head of Business Banking Sweden.

“It is important that we understand our customers’ business, and that we can advise them on what is specifically needed for just their company and industry. Together we have worked actively to be responsive and improve our proactivity, which the customers’ feedback in the survey shows. It is encouraging to see that we are ranked at the top in these areas,” says Peter Dalmalm, Head of Business Banking Sweden.

Their relation to their adviser is important when customers rate their bank. We are pleased to note that Nordea is rated at the top on many of the parameters which specifically measure the adviser, their competence and the personal contact.

“I’m very grateful for the confidence our customers have in us, which is proof of our strength as a long-term business partner. This result motivates us to remain close to our customers and listen to them, and to work on finding the little things that make a difference for our customers”, Peter Dalmalm says.

Sustainability – we can support our customers even more

One area where customers’ ratings are relatively low is when it comes to getting support for their sustainability efforts. Requirements for sustainability are growing more and more, and many companies need to transition. As a bank we want to play an active role in this transition.

“This is an important area, which is high on Nordea’s agenda. We will continue to develop our advisory services and broaden our offering of green products for corporates. During the year we have trained all our employees so that sustainability can become a natural part of customer meetings. This is a journey we are on together with our customers”, Peter Dalmalm sums up.
