This week we open the doors to our new head quarter in Helsinki called Nordea Campus. It's a 12,400 square meter building on 8 floors, with 5 floors tailor-made for Nordea's way of working. This workplace will accommodate over 4,500 Nordeans. And – it has a green wall.

5 facts about the wall:

  1. Size: 150 m².
  2. Number of plants: Approximately 4,500, covering 112.50 m² with just plants.
  3. Around 15 different plant species, with moss covering 37.5 m².
  4. Approximately 10 m long x 12 meters tall, with a weight of 10,000 kg when fully watered.
  5. All parts of the green wall are made in Finland.

Fun fact:

The company setting up the wall for us is called InnoGreen and they protect 1,000 m2 of rain forest for every square meter of greenwall sold, through World Land TrustMaking the Nordea greenwall to help protect 11,25 hectare of rain forest.

The building in itself is built according to the highest sustainability standards with a LEED Platinum v2 certification.
