(FFP Video) Madelein and Iida have enjoyed every minute of their traineeship as Future Finance Professionals (FFPs), working as assistant investment advisors in Securities Advisory Finland, while making new friends and having a great time with colleagues and fellow FFPs.

Iida Koponen (22) – FFP, Assistant Investment Advisor in Securities Advisory
Now that my fourth year as Accounting and Finance student in Aalto University School of Business begins, my time as FFP intern is coming to an end. During the past six months, I’ve worked in the Securities Advisory team in Helsinki, and gained broad knowledge of different investment products varying from stocks to more complex structured products. I’ve learned so much.
One of the highlights has been the welcoming atmosphere on the trading floor. Even in the beginning when you might feel overwhelmed with all of the new information and learnings, help is always near as experienced colleagues are happy to help and provide their expertise whenever needed.

I enjoyed spending my spring and summer working as FFP intern in Nordea’s Securities Advisory unit, meanwhile finishing my finance studies at Hanken School of Economics.
One of the many things, I’ve enjoyed during my traineeship has been the variety of tasks in our daily work. The changing work days will keep you interested as you learn something new all the time. Another highlight has been the dynamic between all of us FFPs (19 of us) – getting to know people with different academic backgrounds, and the lively social scene with great events arranged for us, has felt unique. Not to mention the warm welcome and help you get from your team mates, and the FFP organisers.
I highly recommend the FFP programme, and if you’re considering a career in finance, I’d say this is a great opportunity. Watch our video – and apply 😉!
