This video interview with law students Rosa and Essi sheds light on the working culture and the varied tasks within Group Legal and its Large Corporates & Institutions Legal team in Finland. Meet Lotta Karinen, Head of LC&I Legal Finland, who sat down with Rosa Narvio and Essi Hällström for a talk about their experiences in the LC&I Legal team in Finland. Rosa has worked as a legal trainee with us for four summers, while Essi joined LC&I Legal, on loan from a law firm, in a six-month secondment.
“Working with the Legal experts like you, Essi and Lotta, has made me fall in love with financial law,” says Rosa, who encourages future trainees to ”believe in yourself - as a student, you can do well on more demanding tasks than you might think".
For Essi, one of the most valuable learnings has been to be involved in the discussions considering the financial aspects or risks, which gave a “behind the curtains” insight, and a different perspective than of a law firm. “Taking part in these conversations has brought a lot of understanding on how risk assessment is formed,” Essi says.
Lotta highlights that “secondees and trainees like Rosa and Essi, are valued colleagues at Group Legal. We always learn new things from each other.”
