Nordea is pleased to announce that it will broaden the expertise of its Group Sustainability team in Denmark by introducing Kristin Parello Plesner to the team. Kristin, a seasoned leader in sustainable finance, joins Nordea in a temporary role, bringing extensive expertise from her previous positions, the most recent one being Head of Group Sustainability at Danske Bank. 

As sustainability continues to be central to Nordea’s strategy and increasingly vital to its customers, Nordea remains dedicated to leading this transformation. Kristin’s insights and experience will directly support these ambitions, strengthening Nordea’s efforts in Denmark. Reporting to Anja Hannerz, Head of Group Sustainability, Kristin will play an important role in advancing Nordea’s initiatives through her temporary appointment lasting until July 2025.

Kristin Parello Plesner’s career reflects deep expertise in sustainability, including roles as Head of ESG and Sustainability at Denmark’s Export Credit Agency, Sustainability Manager at Deloitte and Manager of ESG and Sustainability at PFA Pension.

“Nordea is widely respected for its sustainability leadership, making this a great opportunity,” says Kristin Parello Plesner. “After engaging discussions with Anja Hannerz, I’m excited to support Nordea in further solidifying its strong position in sustainable finance.”

Supporting in several key areas

Kristin’s extensive knowledge of sustainability regulation and strategy will contribute across several key areas, including Nordea’s CSRD implementation and emerging sustainability trends. She will also provide tailored insights for the Danish market, further positioning Nordea as a sustainability leader in the market.
