Our Financial Health Check solution analyses customers’ financial data and provides a simple, structured overview of their situation, highlighting areas such as savings, debt, insurance and long-term planning that might need attention. Based on this overview, customers receive suggestions for what to do next – from building financial buffers to adjusting savings or reviewing insurance coverage.

Combining pre-filled data with a small number of customer inputs, the tool gives instant access to financial guidance that is straightforward and non-technical. The aim is to make financial decisions easier. Instead of detailed figures and financial jargon, Financial Health Check offers clear, practical steps that customers can act on immediately.

The thinking behind the feature

Financial Health Check draws inspiration from the bucket approach – an investment and retirement strategy that organises people’s money into separate categories or "buckets" based on when they plan to spend it.

The feature includes the following five categories.

  • Build an expense buffer: two to three months’ salary.
  • Review your loans: pay off expensive debt.
  • Check your life insurance: secure your loved ones.
  • Assess your retirement savings: are you on track?
  • Save for your dreams: start saving for your future goals.

So far, customers have responded positively to the feature by exploring the suggested actions, showing that when financial guidance is simple and relevant, people find it easier to take control.

Financial Health Check is part of our wider ecosystem of digital tools aimed at turning financial data into actionable insights while helping build financial literacy.

Looking ahead, we will further develop this tool with a view to achieving deeper personalisation and closer integration with advisory services. The ambition is to offer proactive guidance embedded in everyday banking, supporting customers through different life stages and financial situations.
