Philip Erlandsson, current Nordea Markets country lead for Sweden and Head of Fixed Income Sales, is appointed Head of Nordea Markets from 1 August.

Current head of Nordea Markets, Thorodd Bakken, has decided to pursue a new chapter in his career and will be leaving Nordea during fall. 

“Our Markets business is in excellent shape, customer activity is high and we have a clear strategic plan. With the appointment of Philip Erlandsson as Head of Markets, we will continue our successful route towards our 2025 targets. I look forward to welcoming Philip to our leadership team, and I am both proud and excited that our focused work on talent and succession management enables us to recruit a talented leader for this senior position within our own organisation,” says Martin Persson, Head of Large Corporates & Institutions.

Philip Erlandsson continues: "I am very excited about this opportunity to lead Nordea Markets and look forward to continue on the strong path we already are on, with our great platform, talented people and strong position”.

Thorodd Bakken is leaving Nordea

“Thorodd has done a magnificent job in streamlining and growing our Markets business, and is leaving behind a very strong unit. I am sorry to see Thorodd leave Nordea, and I want to extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation for his contributions to Nordea over the past 10 years,” says Martin Persson.
