When Ella and Petteri joined the Future Finance Professional (FFP) programme, they expected a steep learning curve. What surprised them most – a few months into the trainee programme – was how welcoming the experience turned out to be. From day one, they found themselves surrounded by experienced colleagues, eager to share their knowledge and help them grow.
"What surprised me most was how helpful people are, and how I can always go to someone and ask for help."
Working in Research & Risk Solutions and Derivatives Coverage, both have quickly taken on new responsibilities while learning from experts across the trading floor. The opportunities to ask questions, collaborate across teams and understand the bigger picture have accelerated their development.
"You learn something new every day, and that keeps the job exciting."
Beyond the work itself, both highlight the people as the best part of the experience. Supportive colleagues, approachable mentors and a close-knit group of fellow FFPs have made the transition from studies to working life both rewarding and fun.
If you're looking for a place where you can learn, grow, and build meaningful connections from day one, the FFP programme could be the perfect place to start.
Psst! You can apply to our Future Finance Professional programme 2027 from 7–27 September 2026.
