By Janne Seppälä - intern in AI & Automation

As FFP intern in the AI & Automation team, I’ve been able to take part in developing automation frameworks, coordinating changes with other teams, and try out different kinds of AI tools.

After the first week, I was quickly onboarded with our financial reporting team to assist them in continuing working on their automation project. During the summer, I’ve been responsible for implementing, documenting, maintaining existing processes and finalizing our project with them.

Working here has taught me a lot about developing within a large framework alongside other team members, about CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) lifecycles. Within our team, we also have our weekly tech talks where we discuss potentially useful and exciting python frameworks. This has been a good way to explore new tools and learn on the job.

One of the challenging, yet fun, elements about working here is that I can work on many different tasks, from front-end changes to fixing specific processes used by different business areas. I feel like I am always learning, whether it is about new frameworks, other people, or existing processes.

I feel like I am always learning, whether it is about new frameworks, other people, or existing processes.

On top of work, there has also been multiple after-work events that are always enjoyable and filled with great people. For example, we had an entertaining Nordea x OP meet-up during the summer where we could connect with other people from the industry and play beach volleyball together.

The FFP programme has been fun and a great experience for personal and professional growth.
