Nordea in Estonia recognised for prioritising mental health at the workplace
On the World Mental Health Day Nordea Estonia was awarded with the gold recognition label of Mental Health Supportive Employer by Peaasi.ee.
Member of Nordea Estonia’s Wellbeing team and People Direct Advisor Birgit Männiste received the label on the World Mental Health Day which was 10 October 2024.
Peaasi.ee (Head Matters) is a front runner NGO in building awareness on mental health topics and problems in our society, together with providing training and counselling services.
They issue recognition labels once a year for organisations that value mental health. Labels are given both for recognising work cultures that already have the wellbeing of their people in focus and to those who take conscious and continuous steps to keep people healthy and happy at work.
“I´m very happy and grateful that Nordea Estonia was awarded with the gold label of Mental Health Supportive Employer. This is a true recognition of the wellbeing mindset that our people and leaders have and the steps we´ve jointly taken to create a culture of meaningful conversations, joyful connections and the feeling of support and belonging,” says Country Senior Executive Tiina Käsi.
Applying for the label gives organisations the possibility to holistically review their work environment and culture, especially from the mental wellbeing point of view. At Nordea Estonia we organise wellbeing awareness and training sessions for leaders and employees, promoting mental health sustaining techniques and ways to support self and others. We also draw attention to wellness and healthy habits through various initiatives and provide additional health insurance to all our people to enable easier access to wellbeing services and healthcare.
