In their screening of companies, the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices incorporate ESG scores derived from the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), providing a financially material look at a company's sustainability performance that goes beyond publicly disclosed information.
The solution creates portfolios of companies that meet certain sustainability criteria better than the majority of their peers within a given industry. The DJBCI index family includes sub-indices that exclude companies engaged in activities widely considered unsustainable, addressing specific investor requirements.
