Strong market belief in Nordea’s long-term strategy of active investing

Nordea bagged a total of six wins at the 2021 Morningstar Awards. The success at the highly regarded ceremony indicates a strong market belief in long-term, risk-adjusted investing – the foundation of Nordea’s asset management strategy.

The Morningstar awards

In Denmark we won three out of seven so-called Category Awards. The Basis 1 KL fund landed the win in the category EUR Allocation, and – for the second year in a row – the Fonde KL fund was named best in the DKK Bond category. Finally our ESG fund – Nordea Invest European Stars won in the category European Equities.

In addition to the three Danish wins, our Finnish branch enjoyed two wins: Nordea Nordic Small Cap K EUR in the Nordic Equity category and Nordea Säästö Korko K EUR in the EUR Bond category.

The Morningstar Category Awards are given to the funds with the best risk-adjusted performance within their Morningstar Categories or groupings of Morningstar Categories, subject to qualitative review.

In Sweden Nordea added a sixth gold medal to the collection with its win for Best Fixed Income House. A Morningstar Fund House Award is given to the fund groups with the strongest performing fund line-ups on a risk-adjusted basis.
