Last summer colleagues in Estonia got together to find new ways to help Ukrainian refugees. Their meetings sparked the idea for a new local volunteering initiative – one that protects refugees from scammers and helps them navigate Estonia’s digital spaces.
From unknown to media darling: Benjamin’s battle to get a permanent residence permit
Although Benjamin Schenkel had a permanent job at Nordea, learnt Danish and did lots of voluntary work, he was denied a permanent residence permit. That became the start of a battle to stay in Denmark that lasted several months.
