Nordea proudly partners with Pride

At Nordea we have a diverse and inclusive workplace. We are committed to respecting human rights and have equality as a cornerstone in all our business operations. Every day we engage and try to make a difference, and we are therefore proud to announce that we will be partnering with Pride again this year.

It is crucial for Nordea to be an inclusive business partner, with a diverse workplace, where everyone can be themselves and be appreciated for who they are. Inclusion and diversity is a natural part of our daily work all year, and helps gain a broader perspective and understanding of the world, which enables us to better serve our almost 10 million different customers.

A safe Pride …

Pride 2021 runs from June to August in Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo and Stockholm. As in 2020, the majority of Pride activities will be held online. A wide range of virtual events are planned, including seminars, online concerts and even digital parades.

Together with local Pride organisations, we will follow all the health and safety guidelines issued by local authorities. As with all events that Nordea organises or participates in, we will do all we can to ensure the health and safety of our employees and customers.

While Nordea also supports Pride in Estonia and Poland, there are currently no planned activities in these countries due to the coronavirus situation.

… with room for everyone

Nordea has more than 28,000 employees, covering 97 nationalities and some 50 different languages. To promote diversity and inclusion we have launched a number of initiatives like local employee-led groups focusing on relevant diversity and inclusion issues, guidelines and tools to help increase awareness internally and support events like European Diversity Month and Pride.

“All have their unique story,” highlights Christina Gadeberg and continues: “We know that an inclusive culture, rich in diversity, makes us better: when we share ideas and insights, collaborate and draw on diverse perspectives, we can better create sustainable and innovative solutions – together with our customers, who are just as diverse as we are.”

At Nordea we want to stand up for what we believe is right. To be involved in Pride and contribute to an increasingly diversified, equal and inclusive society where everyone can be themselves is what we strive for every day
