Nordea condemns the attack in Oslo during the weekend. A police investigation has been launched after the horrible events. Nordea continues as a proud sponsor of Pride and the preparations for the Pride celebrations will continue at Nordea across the countries.
“At Nordea we condemn the attack late Friday night. It’s now more important than ever that we stand together in solidarity with the LGBT+ community and their allies,” says Åsa Billme Nilsson, head of the Diversity and Inclusion team, and continues:
“The Oslo Pride Parade on Saturday was cancelled, but we will not take down the Pride flags. Our thoughts go out to all who are affected. It should be safe to love who you want and to be who you are.”
Nordea will still support and participate in the Pride parades across the countries during the summer. We will follow guidelines from the governments and Pride organisations in each country to make sure that everybody has a good time.

Diversity & inclusion
Vibrant, inclusive and lots of fun: Nordea proudly partners with Pride
Already now many volunteers from Nordea are preparing activities and parades. Colleagues from all over Nordea will march under the Nordea flag, not only to celebrate diversity but also to send an important signal that Nordea is an inclusive workplace.
Diversity and inclusion is a natural part of our daily work
Being diverse and inclusive is at the top of our agenda. Every day we strive to find new ways to improve diversity and inclusion within Nordea, in our relations with our customers and in wider society.
